Las Vegas, NV – To kick off Women’s History Month, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations – Nevada (NaFFAA-NV) is planning to honor women in the community. “The celebration will spotlight on Filipino Women Achievers of NV and their many impressive accomplishments and contributions,” announces Cynthia Deriquito, Chair, NaFFAA-NV. Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event will take place via Zoom on Monday, March 8th at 7:00 pm PT.
NaFFAA-NV’s 2021 Women’s History Month Honorees come from all walks of life and have made an impact in the lives of the community in many different ways. Each will be honored in the field where they have left their mark, which include: Community; Education; Health Care; Business and Philanthropy.
Honorees will share some of the lessons they have learned, and attendees will get to ask them questions in a Q&A session.
Women’s History Month takes place in March each year and is a time to commemorate the key roles women have played in shaping American History. NaFFAA-NV’s event will specifically spotlight Filipino women, who continue to be a force in society today. The honorees were chosen based on their work and achievements.
