The Filipino American Survey

The Filipino-American Survey project is the first of its kind and is planned to be a bi-annual effort in the future. It is an opportunity to learn from and amplify the voices of our community. Through the data in the survey, we seek to unveil the needs, priorities and perspectives of Filipino-Americans. Additionally, we hope to discover the motivations of our community in order to dispel myths, correct inaccurate portrayals and draw inspiration from each other. We will leverage participants, partners, researchers, and grassroots organizations to make this possible.

We seek to capture data about the Filipino community in the United States primarily around the topics of Civic Engagement, Advocacy, and Leadership or Community. NaFFAA aims to better understand the priorities, needs and perspectives of Filipinos on several key issues such as COVID-19, the presidential election, midterms and Asian-hate. The survey also seeks to learn more about Filipinos and their well-being, mental health and outlook on the future.

A final report will be published by Filipino-American History Month in October.

The survey deploys in May and will collect data through Philippine Independence Day in June. The survey is a joint effort, led by NaFFAA and with the help of community partners and friends.

We invite Filipinos in the United States to complete the survey by clicking on the “survey” button on this page. Maraming salamat!
