The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) mourns the tragic loss of another Filipina killed in Israel during the ongoing violence in the Middle East, as confirmed by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). We extend our deepest condolences to her family and join the Filipino community in prayer.
This heartbreaking loss underscores the risks faced by over two million of our kababayan in the region — especially Overseas Filipino Workers who are too often caught in conflicts not of their making. We urge all Filipinos in affected areas to stay connected with their nearest Philippine embassies and consulates for support and guidance. NaFFAA is also committed to helping share verified information, strengthening communication between families, and working with partners toward a coordinated humanitarian response where possible.
As a people grounded in kapwa, we are called to stand together in moments of grief and uncertainty. We uphold the sanctity of every life and continue to call for peace — because war does not heal; it only deepens loss, divides communities, and breaks families apart.
We also call on our Filipino American communities in the United States: if you have loved ones in the Middle East, please reach out to the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington, D.C. or your nearest Philippine consulate for assistance, information, and support (see section below). You may also contact the Department of Foreign Affairs to stay informed and apprised of the evolving situation and its impact on Filipinos in the diaspora.
