Washington, D.C. — December 5, 2025 — The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) expresses its deepest condolences to the families affected by the tragic shooting at a child’s birthday party in Stockton, California, where four lives were lost, including an 8-year-old Filipino American child. We stand in solidarity with the community during this heartbreaking time and call on anyone with credible information or leads to immediately contact local authorities to support the ongoing investigation. NaFFAA remains committed to promoting the safety and well-being of all Filipino American families and urges our community to come together in compassion, vigilance, and support for those who are grieving.

NaFFAA National Chair Mariela Fletcher shared: “It is a painful tragedy and a reminder of the urgent need to address gun violence to protect our children and communities. NaFFAA remains committed to advocating for safety, healing, and justice for Filipino Americans across the United States.”

NaFFAA continues to encourage community cooperation with law enforcement, emotional support for impacted families, and collective efforts to strengthen safety and resilience across Filipino American communities nationwide.
