It’s PhilFest time again, and it’s time for competitions once again and win $$$. It is two weeks to go to PhilFest (March 31st to April 2nd).
If your kid or kids have any talent in singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, acrobatics, ballet, or contemporary dancing, why not sign them up for our annual “TanghalanG Pambata! (Children’s Talent Presentation)! SIGN UP NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. invites participants to Tanghalang Pambata 2023 at PhilFest, a fun competition open to all Filipino and Filipino-American children and youth between 5 and 15 years old who want to showcase their talents. The competition will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Philippine Village’s Sinagtala Theater.
In 2022, Master Jacob Pham won this competition! Your kid could win this year, too!
Contest Rules:
- The contestant must not have won first prize in any previous PhilFest Tanghalang Pambata competition.
- Each contestant must provide his/her own props, musical instrument, and/or music accompaniment.
- If accepted to join, each contestant will be asked to submit any recorded music accompaniment via email. The email address will be provided in the acceptance email following the application. Not submitting may disqualify the contestant.
- Contestants are allowed to use Tagalog, English, or Taglish as language during the performance.
- PhilFest is held at the Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.
Criteria
Contestants to Tanghalang Pambata 2023 will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Delivery (25%)
- Proficiency in the Chosen Talent (25%)
- Originality (25%)
- Audience Impact (25%)
The decision of the panel of judges is final.
Prizes
Cash and other valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners and runner-ups:
- First Prize: $500
- Second prize: $300
- Third Prize: $200
Contestants will NOT be provided complimentary passes or special privileges to the festival.

This is a first-come-first-served application. Only the first 12 applicants will be eligible to participate.
All interested Tanghalang Pambata 2022 contestants MUST complete the following Online Application Form below by Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:59 PM (or until the first 12 slots have been filled) to be eligible for the competition.
