NaFFAA To Raise Funds for Those Affected by Taal Volcano Eruption

Washington, DC – The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) Chairman Brendan Flores issues the following statement following the eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines:

“On behalf of NaFFAA’s Board of Governors and regional network of leaders, we pledge our undivided support to those affected by the eruption of the Taal Volcano. The unrest and destruction resulting from such natural disasters can have devastating effects on survivors—physically, emotionally, and financially. According to the Philippine government, over 6,000 citizens of Batangas have already evacuated, and approximately 200,000 more may follow in the case of a larger impending eruption.

“We are launching a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for victims of the Taal Volcano disaster, and encourage you and your networks to consider making donations of any size. It is our genuine hope that the financial support we can amass together, can go miles towards helping families rebuild.”
