A signing of the Proclamation of Filipino- American History Month was accomplished at the Iowa Governor’s Office
by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Lieutenant General Adam Gregg and was presented to NaFFAA Iowa leaders Roel and Malou Campos & Naty Balines.


April 27, 2021 – NaFFAA Iowa participated in a virtual meeting with Iowa Asian Alliance IAA and AAPI community members and leaders in preparation for a meeting on May 5, 2021, with elected officials in regards to Asian discrimination, hate crime, and positive steps. The goal was to list actions/goals to be presented to our Iowa government elected officials. Roel & Malou Campus coordinated the event.
September 7, 2021 — The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago and the Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project (FilVetREP) through Regional Director Jelly Carandang organized the awarding of Congressional Medal in a ceremony in honor of Mr. Erdulfo A. Garcia at his home in Berwyn, Illinois, a suburb in Greater Chicago.
Ruby Horner Chase worked with senior citizens program to address their needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ella Basilio joined the Fil-Am Protest against China's incursion in the West Philippine Sea.
Dr. Evelyn Natividad participated in the Immigration Rally in Springfield.

May 27, 2021 – Dr.Evelyn Natividad represented the Fil-Am community as a panelist at ABC Channel 7 “Our Chicago: Voices of the Community” digital town hall. Discussed the history of Filipino American immigration in the USA and Chicago.
